Q: Where are you all located?
A: Our shop is located at 1803 East Avenue. We are tucked in the corner next to Wong's kitchen: you have to go through the door to the tailor to get to us. Look for our neon sign.
Q: Are you still doing pop-ups with the cart?
A: Not as much. Our only scheduled events are Lilac Fest, the Rochester Night Market, and Corn Hill Arts Fest. We are going to get our feet under us with the store and then start adding more events.
Q: What are your hours?
A: We post our hours on our instagram and our google business page. They are going to be a little funky for the first month or so, but then we will be more regular.
Q: Why are you only open two days a week?
A: As of right now, our entire kitchen operation is one person, who also does a lot of other things for the business. Two days a week is all that he can keep up with production for. But once we get bigger machinery we will be able to expand production and be open more often, as well as add pop-up events.
Q: What flavors do you have?
A: Our flavors are posted on our instagram for right now. They rotate monthly and availability is dependent upon whether we sell out of that flavor for the day or if Travis is unable to keep up with production
Q: Oh, so this is like a pretty small operation, huh?
A: Yeah, we started it in our house with a hand crank machine and have been growing slow & steady ever since. This is not a franchise, it's not backed by venture capital. Its a guy and his girlfriend trying to build something everyone can enjoy and be proud of.
Q: So it's not like a regular ice cream shop?
A: In some ways it is, in other ways it's not. We try to offer flavors you can't find anywhere else in addition to revamped classics. We don't currently do hot fudge sundaes nor milkshakes, but eventually.
Q: Do you have non-dairy ice cream?
A: Yes! Half the menu is vegan and we try to have something for everyone (gluten allergies, nut allergies, etc.) Our standard base is oat milk for the vegan ice creams, but we also sometimes use coconut milk or ricemilk, depending on the flavor.
Q: Do you make custom flavors?
A: Until we get our feet under us with the shop, our custom flavor ordering will be very limited or not available.
Q: Do you make ice cream cakes?
A: Not currently, no.
